This activity has been designed to increase your confidence in identifying and managing heart failure (HF) in a general practice setting.

Learning outcomes


By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Outline the importance of identifying patients with HF with mild to moderate symptoms (NYHA Class II-III)
  • Discuss appropriate non-pharmacological and pharmacological strategies with an aim to reduce hospitalisation and improve quality of life in patients with HF
  • Create a systematic approach to provide opportunities for the re-evaluation of HF symptoms in seemingly stable patients.
